Longines Admiral 5 Star Automatic Day-Date

Condition

This is a very rare and absolutely stunning vintage Longines Admiral from the late 1960s and early 1970s. The watch is in spectacular condition both mechanically and cosmetically. The watch has just been fully serviced and is running perfectly and keeping perfect time within specification. 

Dial - This piece features a lovely sunburst silver dial which is in nice condition showing some signs of light wear in places. 

Case - The gold plated case is in nice condition and shows light signs of wear. The case has some slight corrosion at one side however this is not visible when wearing the watch. 

Crown - This particular piece has a replacement crown which works perfectly in all functions. This movement operates a semi-quickset function. The day is manually advanced by moving the hands forward and the date is changed by moving the minute hand between the 8pm & 12am position. 

Movement - The watch encases its original Longines 503 Automatic movement which has just been subject to a full service and is working flawlessly. 

Case back - The case back shows light signs of general wear. 

Strap - This piece has been put on a high quality after market strap. 

Crystal - The acrylic crystal is in more or less perfect condition! 

For a watch of this age, this piece is in spectacular order and is ready to wear!
